The Facilities Coordinator will have a significant impact on customer experience. He/She will lead and manage external contractors, be on call for emergencies, handle multiple projects and daily activities, and meet tough timelines. The Facilities Coordinator will develop plans to accomplish engineering departmental goals.
The Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for the leadership, development, and coaching of the team. Performance management will be carried out by the Facilities Coordinator – Maintenance. This role leads the technical team in providing both reactive and proactive maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure within the Fulfillment Center (FC). The role has a direct impact on the site, its productivity, and operational success. If equipment is not available or performs poorly, it minimizes the capacity and throughput of the site.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Lead, support, and mentor the team, ensuring they are working in a safe, standard, and efficient manner.
2. Work with the team and the wider network to harness the technical expertise available and build solutions.
3. Keep the APM (Asset Performance Management) metrics achieved and raise the bar on all performance and compliance KPIs.
4. Support the Reliability Engineering Manager as they work with the Site Safety department & Site Leadership to implement, record, and audit safety and statutory compliance programs to provide a safe working environment for all staff.
5. Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.
6. Ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for the shifts they own by organizing and directing the training program for the team.
7. Organize local projects or support MENA level projects as assigned by the manager.
8. Demonstrate practical engineering experience including a supervisory role managing people.
9. Have experience with automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
10. Have experience working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.
11. Develop and implement vendor annual maintenance contracts (AMCs) with appropriate service levels for equipment.
12. Manage a team of Maintenance Supervisors & Technicians. Define goals, priorities, organize staff planning, and staff training to ensure service levels.
13. Keep people working in a safe environment, applying the Amazon Safety Policy and working with the Safety team to improve safety on site.
A Day in the Life
1. Daily monitor and respond to RME customer requests through the trouble ticketing system and always show customer obsession behavior.
2. Ensure quality service received by annual maintenance contract vendor and verify that through raising any fail against the SLA (Service Level Agreement).
About the Team
The Site RME team manages all building engineering and facilities-related day-to-day issues and projects, including soft services and technical services (Base Building and MHE material handling equipment).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. 3+ years of using a computer maintenance management system in planning, scheduling, and auditing overall facilities/maintenance activities experience.
2. 3+ years of data analysis in the facilities maintenance program, specifically in asset management and spare part optimization experience.
3. 3+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
4. High school or equivalent diploma.
5. Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
6. Knowledge of diverse MHS, industrial mechanical and electrical systems, and automation, controls, and robotics systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. 5+ years of maintenance planner/scheduler working within an industrial maintenance complex, manufacturing/distribution industries, or equivalent experience.
2. Experience in material handling systems (MHS) installation, operation, and maintenance.
