Portable Lab Equipment (PLE) / Benchtop Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Portable Lab Equipment Engineer to join our team in Dublin on a 12-month contract.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver technical solutions that support production and meet quality standards.
* Introduce PLEs in a GMP environment, ensuring compliance with regulations.
* Work effectively as part of a project team or independently.
* Maintain software and hardware according to site standards and good engineering practices.
* Troubleshoot technical issues with OT systems and provide timely resolutions.
* Support user account and access management during commissioning and ensure seamless operations.
* Provide technical support to partners within Engineering and Operations as required.
* Contribute to maintaining an audit-ready state for the department by following procedures and guidelines.
* Author documentation and SOPs associated with automated systems, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
* Develop technical knowledge of automation benchtop systems, staying up-to-date with advancements.
* Participate in biannual and periodic reviews, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
* Appropriate technical qualifications, such as CompTIA, or relevant hands-on industry experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server and Client operating systems.
* Experience with benchtop instrumentation, including cell counters, spectrophotometers, and filter integrity testers.
* Basic IT skills, including account administration, ticketing, troubleshooting, and networking.
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in the life sciences or other regulated industries.
* Ability to author clear and concise documentation.
* Desirable: programming or scripting experience, such as C#, PowerShell, or SQL; systems integration/interfacing experience on control systems and wider production systems.
