About this Role:
* Troubleshoot and resolve customer incidents remotely (chat, email, or phone)
* Troubleshoot events raised by our next-generation monitoring
* Run daily checks and monitor our customers' infrastructure
* Work on service requests and small projects
Knowledge and Skills Required:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
* 3+ years of Microsoft SQL Server experience – focusing on Database Administration
* Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve high-priority issues in real-time under pressure
* Exceptional communication skills both oral and written
Desired Skills and Experience:
* Strong customer focus and ability to work with a wide range of customer teams, technologies, and system models
* Be well-versed in IT first-level support, preferably Database Services, cloud solution, and related technologies and their interdependencies
* Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot in a complex and technology-diverse environment
* Ability to prioritize tasks, high organizational skills, good time management skills
* Flexibility in working with multiple environments and different clients
* Experience in Performance Tuning and system Optimization
* Understanding SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS
* Experience in Legacy SQL Servers as well as most recent releases
* Unix, Linux, or alternatively Windows support experience – as an advantage
* Network support experience (TCP/IP, DNS) – as an advantage
* Experience in ITIL-based environments or Knowledge of ITIL / ISO 20000
* Collaborate as part of larger delivery teams which may include project managers, business analysts, architects, developers, and change management professionals
* Capture and communicate technical information clearly and concisely to audiences with a wide level of competencies
* 1+ years support, troubleshooting, and handling service requests in Relational Database Management System
* Experience in High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) in SQL Server
* Understanding of security principles, risk assessment, and mitigation
