Your Responsibilities:
·Project Planning (resources and fees).
·Conceptual design studies and reports
· Assuming a lead role liaising with architects, clients and other stakeholders to set the constraints of the mechanical design and co-ordinate with all other disciplines in terms of the mechanical requirements and the mechanical discipline’s influence on all others.
·Design of Mechanical Services and Installations (from initial concept stage to handover), including brief development and MEP strategies/(low-carbon) solutions.
·Compilation of Design Drawings & Specifications for Mechanical Services.
·Ensuring full co-ordination between specifications and drawings.
·Cost estimating, procurement & cost control.
·Assuming a lead role in with the supply chain and contractors to co-ordinate the successful delivery of the MEP installations.
·Site Installation inspections and Progress reporting.
Your Education/Profile:
·level 8 Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
·Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience, most of which will be in design gained within a consultancy or Mechanical Contractor environment.
·Chartered Engineer status (or final report and submission well progressed)
·Team player.
·A demonstrated track record in leading teams.
·Experience of managing contractors and work on site (including understanding of the commissioning process and future maintenance considerations).
·Organised and adaptable with a flexible approach to work.
·Ability to meet strict Project deadlines.
·Excellent communication and report writing skills.
·Strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
·Demonstrated experience in the design (including BCAR requirements) of the Building Services Mechanical systems such as HVAC, public health, BMS/controls, etc.
·As a senior MEP grade, a core knowledge of Building Services Electrical systems
·Revit experience would be an advantage.
·Minimum 5 years' experience working in the Irish Market essential.
