For our client, an Irish rapidly expanding engineering company based in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, we are looking for an IT Support Engineer.
This is a unique chance to be part of a large growing organisation. This IT Engineer will be closely cooperating with the UK office and provide support to the engineering teams in Ireland.
This is a full-time permanent position 5 days a week on site in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Ireland.
Salary guide is 50K p.a. with some flexibility for the right person.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain essential IT operations (operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware).
* Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration.
* Implement IT projects, recommending changes and improvements.
* Manage service delivery from all third-party hardware/software providers.
* Work closely with IT helpdesk in the UK to optimise IT service delivery across the organisation.
* Report key IT related metrics to the IT HQ (UK).
* Train users on both software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide technical support.
Requirements:
* 4+ years of experience in a similar IT support position.
* Experience across a broad range of areas (operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware).
* Strong hands-on approach as well as acting as a partner to the management.
* Ability to work independently with little guidance (IT department in UK).
* Ability to troubleshoot PC / Laptop hardware and printer issues.
* Excellent communication skills, user-oriented.
* Full Irish Driver’s license (very rare traveling to clients' site, Dublin region).
