We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee and coordinate all operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be a strategic decision-maker who ensures that production processes deliver products of the highest quality in a profitable manner. Your proactive management and leadership will drive our facility to great heights of operational efficiency and effectiveness. People development & empowerment, cross-functional collaboration, and development of coaching & food safety culture are key aspects of this role.
Role Profile
The Site Manager for Thomas Street reports to the Head of Operations and is responsible for managing the site to deliver service levels, quality, manufacturing standards, and manufacturing results as per the defined KPIs and SLA. The role is responsible for production execution, asset maintenance, technology, and projects support for the category. The role drives continuous improvement within the plant to ensure efficiency while reducing costs. The role acts as a counterpart for the business unit/category lead in the S&OP process to ensure execution.
Located in Thomas Street, Kilkenny, this is an on-site role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage Plant operations; provide overall leadership for plant management and staff.
2. Provide general management over the Plant including overseeing quality assurance/control, safety, manufacturing execution, engineering, materials management, and information systems.
3. Support strategic planning, prepare Annual Business Plan & manage all variable costs within budget.
4. Produce high quality to meet agreed customer and product safety specifications.
5. Ensure production targets (throughput, yields, and recoveries) are met.
6. Oversee EHS standards throughout the plant, promote & support implementation of best practice EHS policies and procedures.
7. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
8. Cultivate and implement performance measures to ensure that the business performs at world-class manufacturing standards.
9. Continuously develop operating performance through the use of GPS tools and techniques.
10. Develop and implement world-class quality processes, which will generate a competitive lever in providing customer solutions.
11. Promote and develop relationships through coaching and collaboration within and between functions: Maintenance, Quality, Process Technical, R&D, HR, etc.

Experience:
1. Third-level qualification in Engineering/Science/Food Science discipline.
2. 5+ years of experience in operations & manufacturing management, operations manager experience, quality and H&S, sustainability at a basic appreciation.
3. Extensive experience in food supply chain, 5+ years production experience in an FMCG environment.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead and direct large teams to deliver results.
