Responsibilities

1. Road Opening Licence Management: Oversee the submission, review, and tracking of all road opening licence applications (ROL), including T2, T3, T4, and T5 sign-off, and ensuring applications contain all required information and are submitted in a timely manner to avoid project delays.
2. Liaison and Communication: Act as the primary point of contact with the Road Authority/RMO for all road opening licence matters
3. Compliance and Monitoring: Ensure adherence to guidelines such as the Requirements for the Reinstatement of Openings in National Roads (TII 2019) and the Guidelines for Managing Openings in Public Roads (Purple Book, Dept of Transport, Tourism, and Sport 2017). Monitor licence status and address any errors or oversights that could lead to fixed penalties or work stoppages.
4. Administrative Support: Process fees associated with road opening licences and permits, managing payments through company systems. Support the Civils Team in addressing reinstatement upgrade requests during the defects period. Escalate issues related to permit refusals or compliance challenges to the Civils Project Manager.
5. Data Management: Maintain accurate records of all licence applications, approvals, and statuses using the MapRoad Roadworks Licensing system. Provide regular updates and reports on permit progress and compliance status to project stakeholders.
Key Requirements for this Road Opening Licence Administrator role:
6. Minimum of 2 year experience in a similar administrative role within Telecoms/Utilities
7. Strong analytical and IT skills, with proficiency in using the MRL system
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Familiarity with T5 sign-off processes and compliance requirements.
11. Knowledge of industry standards such as TII 2019 and Purple Book (Dept of Transport, 2017) guidelines.
