L1/2 IT Support Engineer - Permanent - €40K
Long Established Construction and Engineering company with Interests in Ireland, the UK and Continental Europe has an urgent requirement for a Level ½ IT Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
This company has been operating for over 200 years and is currently undergoing a period of expansion including several projects in Nordic Countries. While this role will be based in Ireland, the expansion plans of this company are such that they offer a great career development opportunity for ambitious IT support engineers.
Based in an easily accessible location close to Dublin's Docklands, the role comes with a good benefits package and is offered on a Hybrid basis, with the successful candidate required onsite 3 days per week.
Responsibilities of Role:
1. Carry out standard PC Tech Duties, data recovery and user admin (passwords, new users etc.), and first level support of VoIP Phone system.
2. Applying security access for new/existing users on Domain and application systems.
3. Provide assistance/support with any Wi-Fi issues or other LAN/WAN tasks that might arise.
4. Assist Systems Administrators/IT managers with new software installations as/when required.
5. Manage the IT knowledge base; logging issue types and resolutions.
6. Assist in the production/review of IT project documentation and Standard Operating Procedures.
7. Monitor vendor logs and SLA's requiring IT staff/end user response and following up on same as and when necessary.
8. Help ensure adherence to all company IT SOPs.
9. Swap out/replace/install local IT hardware, including desk side scanners and handhelds.
Essential Candidate Requirements:
1. 1-2 years' experience in either a Helpdesk Support or an Administration position.
2. Hold certification relevant to an IT support role - Comptia A+ (Core Series), Cisco, ITIL, Microsoft or equivalents.
3. Experience with Microsoft Applications MS Office / 365 Applications / MS Teams.
4. Experience with Windows Server / Operating Systems Support.
5. Experience with File Server / Print Management.
6. Experience with Active Directory / Azure AD / Group Policy / Exchange 2016 / Exchange Online experience.
7. Experience with Applications Support (Such as TeamViewer, Nitro, Adobe Suite, LogMeIn).
8. Some experience with End Point Security (MS Bitlocker / Symantec AV).
9. Good level of competency with Laptop Hardware Management (Configuration / Imaging using WDS and Co-Pilot).
