This role is full time on site. It will work in conjunction with the R&D laboratory.
Support the development and management of systems to meet the company’s regulatory, legal and ethical obligations with respect to safe use of company products.
1. Ensure compliance with global chemical regulations.
2. Leverage current processes and software systems to support product stewardship activities and to address customer requirements.
3. Providing chemical regulatory support to ink development and maintenance teams.
4. Support global notification activities and REACH obligations for our global operations.
5. Documentation of SDS (Safety data sheets), labels, and implementing compliance systems for global chemical regulations.
6. Partner with Procurement, R&D, Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, EH&S and Information Systems teams to achieve robust product stewardship programs.
7. Other duties as assigned, including assisting the chemists with formulations.
Salary: $75,000 - $90,000

Technical Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science field.
2. 1-3 years of industrial experience in the chemical and/or polymer industries.
3. Familiarity with regulatory issues such as GHS, SDSs, REACH, TSCA, etc.
4. Familiarity with inks and coatings at a formulation level.
5. Ability to effectively manage a wide range of responsibilities.
6. Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and willingness to learn.
7. Demonstrated planning, organizational and database skills.
