Senior Network Administrator
Salary: €60, per annum
Contract: 20 months
Job Purpose
Working as part of the Information & Technology Unit the successful candidate will be the lead member of the IT Infrastructure Team providing support and management of IT infrastructure. This support includes E-mail and communications tools, servers, networks and security. The role will involve the management of technologies such as Microsoft, MS Teams, Active Directory, Microsoft System Centre, Windows Servers, Microsoft Hyper-V, SANs, Fortinet firewalls, iOS devices, Microsoft Azure and other cloud solutions.
Key Tasks
ØManagement and Administration of:
oMicrosoft Active Directory on Windows Server, and network;
oAdministration of Teams and Cloud PSTN;
oMicrosoft environment including Exchange and Sharepoint;
oAntivirus, deployment and updates;
oVaeem backups and restores;
oAD Administrative groups and user access rights;
ØManagement and support of Global and Core network infrastructure;
ØConfiguration and Management of Physical and Hyper-V servers;
ØEnsure network and IP connectivity of all workstations, application servers, and back-end office infrastructure;
ØIdentify and remedy network performance bottlenecks to ensure the stable operation and efficient performance of company networks in all offices;
ØApplication of security updates and patches to client devices and servers;
ØMonitor Network security;
ØManagement of IT risks & issues, incident resolution, disaster recovery planning and testing;
ØProactively investigate and adopt new technologies where required;
ØProvide 3rd level support to other colleagues in the Infrastructure, Helpdesk and development teams;
ØResponsible for documentation regarding network IT infrastructure and operating procedures;
ØResponsibility for IT procurement and tendering.

Additional Requirements:
1. A third level IT related qualification to minimum Degree standard with 5 years’ experience in a network administration role is essential;
2. Knowledge of SCCM, DPM, Defender, PRTG, Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Hyper V is essential;
3. Network management and analysis tools experience - SNMP, WireShark, PRTG, LanGuardian is required;
4. Good understanding of Network VLAN’s at Firewall, Switch & Hyper-V level
5. Good understanding of TCP/IP addressing and subnetting;
6. Experience in the deployment, management, and administration of a complex hybrid on premise / cloud-based IT environment;
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.

8. Ability to work well under pressure and on own initiative ensuring attention to detail,
9. Aspects of this role will require travel and working outside of normal office hours;
10. An up-to-date current driving licence is desired;
