Job Title: Food Safety & Quality Coordinator
We are seeking a dedicated Food Safety & Quality Coordinator to play a key role in ensuring raw material conformance, maintaining finished product quality, and managing food safety compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Investigate customer complaints, chill claims, and product rejections, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
* Communicate findings and resolutions promptly to customers, ensuring transparency and professionalism.
* Update the internal team on daily operations and ensure timely resolution and proper documentation of complaints.
Trend Analysis & Reporting:
* Conduct monthly trend analysis on customer complaints and claims to identify patterns for improvement.
* Share actionable insights with the wider team to enhance performance and quality.
Raw Material Conformance & Supplier Management:
* Perform checks on raw materials to ensure compliance with supplier agreements and specifications.
* Manage non-conforming raw materials by coordinating with suppliers and relevant departments to resolve issues.
* Track and report supplier non-conformance trends, sharing findings with Supply Chain Compliance and the Technical/Quality Manager.
* Address recurring issues with suppliers to implement corrective actions and maintain accountability.
Traceability & Audit Preparation:
* Conduct forward and backward traceability checks to ensure compliance with Irish and EU food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with the Quality Systems Auditor to maintain readiness for audits, including HACCP and BRC audits.
Compliance with Irish and EU Regulations:
* Ensure processes comply with Irish and EU food safety standards, including HACCP, BRC Global Standards, and ISO 22000.
* Stay updated on regulatory changes, particularly those governed by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI).
* Contribute to sustainability initiatives, including programs like Origin Green and Ireland's Green Food Strategy.
Qualifications & Experience:
* A degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field is preferred.
* Proven experience in a food safety or quality assurance role within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.
* Strong understanding of Irish and EU food safety standards and regulations, including HACCP, BRC, and ISO 22000.
* Proficiency in complaint investigation, trend analysis, and supplier management.
* Familiarity with sustainability initiatives, such as Origin Green, is advantageous.
