Overview
The overall purpose of the ANP/AMP post is to undertake and document a complete episode of patient care in an accurate, timely and complete manner (assess, diagnose, treat and discharge): demonstrating advanced practical and theoretical knowledge and critical thinking skills in Ambulatory Gynaecology. To provide professional and clinical leadership in order to develop practice and health policy at local, regional and national level. To lead, conduct, disseminate and publish research to shape and advance practice, education and policy and the wider agenda. The main purpose of the Candidate ANP post is for the individual to develop clinical skills and knowledge in order to meet the criteria to be registered as an ANP with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and to ensure that the site preparation for the ANP post meets the requirements and standards for such posts as identified by the NMBI and successfully receive site accreditation if appropriate. Essential Criteria
Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition: Are registered in the Advanced Nurse Practitioner division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland RegisterorBe eligible to register in the Advanced Nurse Practitioner division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Register by meeting the criteria for registration as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner as specified www.nmbi.ieandHave a broad base of clinical experience relevant to the advanced field of practice.andDemonstrates the competences relevant to the specialist area of advanced practice Possesses the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, professional and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
