Financial Controller
An exciting opportunity awaits with a privately-owned, mid-sized Irish business in the logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and management of all financial and accounting functions across the Group.
* Prepare and submit monthly management accounts and financial reports.
* Provide detailed performance analysis against plan, explaining variances across various departments.
* Manage relationships with auditors, IT providers, insurance companies, property managers, and pension administrators.
* Develop and implement financial controls and office financial procedures to enhance business efficiency.
* Supervise a team of 8 finance staff and manage treasury, cash management, and cost control.
* Collaborate with senior internal stakeholders to understand their requirements.
Requirements:
* Qualified accountant with membership in a recognised accountancy body.
* Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience in a supervisory role, preferably in logistics.
* Strong financial skills and proven competence in financial management and accounting.
* Experience developing relationships with senior internal stakeholders to understand their requirements.
* Excellent management skills, including experience in managing people.
* Desirable: understanding of international trade, including customs aspects.
