Job Title: HSE Manager
The successful candidate will join a growing company in the manufacturing solutions industry, playing a key role in the coordination and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental management systems.
This permanent position involves working Monday to Thursday (8.30am - 5.00pm) and Fridays (8.30am - 2.00pm).
About the Role
The HSE Manager is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of regional compliance programs, championing the maintenance of health, safety, and environmental systems and procedures in accordance with global frameworks and regional regulations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and hold NEBOSH certification, providing insight into relevant safety standards and risk assessment.
The successful applicant will also be a reliable source of reference on safety standards, able to identify root causes and corrective actions for safety risks and issues.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and improve health, safety, and environmental management systems and approvals
* Provide regional advice, guidance, and support to drive adherence to health, safety, and environmental policy and practices
* Develop and implement regional compliance programs, championing the maintenance of health, safety, and environmental systems and procedures
* Monitor and assure compliance with global IMS policies, group, and customer requirements
* Compile statistical analysis of activity and outcomes, recommending improvements
* Advise and support regional QHSE champions and site managers on global QHSE frameworks and steps needed to improve regional health, safety, and environmental performance
* Carry out internal and external audits, supporting customers and third parties to conduct independent health, safety, and environmental audit activities
* Investigate health, safety, and environmental non-conformances, ensuring they are investigated and reported in line with policy
* Resolve issues arising from audits and investigations, referring serious or contentious issues to the Regional Head of QHSE
* Communicate urgent health, safety, and environmental matters to the region by producing and issuing timely health, safety, and environmental alerts and bulletins
* Ensure the Regional Head of QHSE remains informed on progress, developments, and incidents
* Review and develop health, safety, and environmental documentation to ensure compliance with local operational, regulatory, and customer needs
Requirements
* Experience in a similar role
* NEBOSH certification
