Job Description:
We seek an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing to lead our clients nursing team. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinical care, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of care for our residents.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the nursing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
* Develop, implement, and monitor care plans to meet the individual needs of residents.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements, including HIQA standards.
* Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff.
* Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks to maintain high standards of care.
* Manage the nursing budget and resources effectively.
* Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Provide leadership and support in the planning and delivery of nursing services.
* Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to resident care.
* Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes for the nursing home.
Requirements:
* A Registered Nurse (RN) with a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* A minimum of 7 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
* In-depth knowledge of clinical best practices and healthcare regulations.
* Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* A proven ability to manage and inspire a team.
* A commitment to delivering compassionate and person-centered care.
* Proficiency in healthcare management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
