Purpose of role:

They are expected to conduct 1 to 2 ward rounds per week. The on-call duties will cover a ward of approximately 10 inpatient beds, consisting mainly of preselected, low medical complexity orthopaedic cases, typically requiring overnight stays for analgesia, with limb deformity and scoliosis cases extending up to 4-5 days.
The ward is staffed by experienced, fully trained paediatric nurses, with NCHD cover provided by an in-house orthopaedic registrar from CHI.
