Job Description
Reporting to the Banquet Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
1. Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
2. Arrange tables, chairs, linens, silverware, and glassware according to the event plan.
3. Set up buffet stations, beverage stations, and other service areas as directed.
4. Greet guests and attend to their needs in a courteous and timely manner.
5. Serve food and beverages in accordance with company standards and the specific event plan.
6. Clear plates, glasses, and silverware as guests finish their meals.
7. Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate any issues to the event manager.
8. Ensure all service areas are clean and organized.
9. Work with other banquet servers, kitchen staff, and event coordinators to ensure smooth operation.
10. Communicate effectively with team members and management.
11. Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
2. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
3. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
4. Ability to carry heavy trays and stand for extended periods.
5. Professional appearance and demeanor.
6. Punctuality and reliability.
7. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
8. Previous service experience an asset.
9. Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
10. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
Additional Information
Visa Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Hourly Rate: $16.25 USD Gross per hour.
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
1. Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
2. Constant lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally.
3. Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
4. Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
