Medforce are delighted to work with a prestigious healthcare institution located in northwest Ireland to recruit a Clinical Specialist Radiographer on a part-time permanent basis (0.5 WTE – 17.5 hours p/week).
Our client’s Radiology Department stands out as a core facility, providing high-quality diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology services. The department is pivotal in the facility’s commitment to comprehensive patient care, timely diagnosis, and collaborative medical training. It offers a full range of imaging services, including:
* General Radiography (X-ray)
* Ultrasound
* Computed Tomography (CT)
* Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
* Interventional Radiology
This permanent role is ideal for a qualified Clinical Specialist Radiographer who is ready to make an impact in a fast-paced healthcare environment, contributing to both patient care and the training of future medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and oversee specialised radiographic procedures in accordance with best practice and hospital policies.
* Ensure the highest standard of patient care and safety during imaging procedures.
* Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to radiography staff.
* Participate in service development, quality improvement initiatives, and staff training.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
Requirements:
* MSc in Radiography or equivalent qualification recognised by CORU.
* Registration with CORU as a Radiographer.
* A minimum of five years post-qualification experience in radiography, with at least two years in a specialised area.
* Proven clinical leadership skills and experience in mentoring junior staff.
* Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
