We are looking to hire a Process and Quality Engineer to join our team.
Job Responsibilities
* Identify and detail process improvements within a semi-automated storage and retrieval distribution centre.
* Measure performance of the system using data analytics and identify areas of improvement.
* Support operational team in optimizing business processes such as:
1. Productivity throughput,
2. Resource optimization,
3. Product allocation (fast vs slow moving),
4. Reversal flows,
5. Value-added activities.
1. Engage with 3rd party automation suppliers in developing enhancements to current hardware solutions.
2. Optimize conveyor network and product flow.
3. Optimize capacity of automated storage system.
4. Develop and document business improvement requirements with operational stakeholders.
5. Partner with WMS manager ensuring business requirements are successfully transitioned into a technical requirement document.
6. Key system superuser. Develop detailed operational knowledge.
7. Lead the UAT testing of software solutions before transitioning into live environment.
8. Define and document business/operational workflows for new processes and reassess existing ones.
9. Support and identify opportunities to enhance a continuous improvement culture within the organization.
10. Lead quality improvement initiatives and update quality KPIs as appropriate.
11. Align with business units regarding product packaging and process improvements that can positively influence storage optimization.
12. Participate in management meetings reporting business initiatives and timelines.
13. Develop operational dashboard using both Power BI and WMS to manage operational performance.
14. Strong presentation skills (needs to be able to present data in an easy way, make complex analysis look easy).
15. Support and adhere to safety and security site policies and procedures.
Profile
Requirements:
* Experience in an automated distribution centre or automated production environment required.
* Experience working with external suppliers ideally in the areas of automation storage and retrieval systems required.
* Strong analytical skillset - Ability to work with data analytics to support the identification of operational improvements.
* Proficiency with Power BI experience required.
* Proficiency with MS Office Suite required.
* Project management experience leading projects, managing different stakeholders, managing communications required.
* Continuous improvement methods and tools knowledge is required.
