Morgan McKinley are delighted to partner with a leading manufacturer to recruit an experienced Supply Chain Planner to join their dynamic team. This is a permanent role based in Dublin.
This Supply Chain Planner will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods and materials across the supply chain. This dynamic position requires a blend of analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and operational efficiency to manage inventory levels, forecast demand, and align supply with business goals.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Develop plans to meet material requirements based on production schedules and customer demand.
* Collaborate with production and customer service teams to satisfy all internal requirements.
* Place and manage orders with suppliers, including handling correspondence to ensure order accuracy and timeliness.
* Monitor order statuses and take corrective actions to ensure timely and complete supply.
* Maintain system accuracy for orders, inventory, and invoices through effective use of Bills of Materials.
* Lead stock-taking and cycle counting processes to maintain accuracy.
* Prevent stockouts and manage inventory within agreed limits.
* Coordinate with production and logistics teams to avoid aging or obsolescence of materials.
* Optimize costs by ensuring competitive market prices.
* Track and maintain KPIs related to materials management and supplier performance.
Key requirements:
* 4+ years of experience in planning within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
* Understanding of key supply chain and inventory management concepts, such as MRP, JIT, lean principles, and theory of constraints.
* Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems.
