My client, a leading Food & Beverage Manufacturing company operating within the UK are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their team. £55,000 + benefits Mon-Fri Managing a small team of 3 Engineers Flexible on daily start and finish hours (9-5 are the stated hours but company happy for you to do 8-4, 7-3 etc. on certain days you pick for personal / family commitments) Recently had £1,000,000 worth of investment Open to Engineers that want to take a step up and progress in their career (must have electrical skills) As a Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for delivering effective maintenance support to the County Tyrone site involving optimising the condition, life, cost and efficiency of fixed assets whilst ensuring best in class performance in downtime, quality and energy. This is an exciting opportunity and will involve both administrative and hands on approach approx. an 80/20 split, however this can vary depending on business needs. This role may be suitable for candidates looking for the next step in their career involving management experience. The role will primarily involve supporting the Mill Manager in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the site. You will be required to meet production targets and KPIs by optimising all aspects of the assets, operation and financial performance of the business. Key responsibilities: Maximise production performance by ensuring all plant and equipment is properly set up, operated, cleaned and maintained to minimise downtime. Initiate immediate and effective corrective action when faults /problems and non-conformances arise. Devise and manage the implementation of a structured preventative maintenance program supporting the delivery of the overall site business objectives. Direct, motivate and develop a multiskilled maintenance team. Encourage subordinates to take ownership of their responsibilities and address poor performance. Communicate effectively with the production team and get people involved. Ensure the cost-effective delivery of all site utility services whilst minimizing the site's environmental footprint. Create a program of continuous improvement in reducing waste and improving energy efficiency. Work closely with the Mill manager to ensure continuous mill cover as well as contributing towards capital projects and budgetary control. About you Candidates must be electrically biased with a strong mechanical ability and must have excellent people management skills and leadership skills. The successful candidate must possess confidence in leading by example and confidence to work on their own initiative.
