About the Role:
This position is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of our residential children’s service team. As a key support figure, you will foster partnerships with external agencies and provide nurturing care, protection, and encouragement to vulnerable or dependent young individuals.
Our client organisation provides services for people who are homeless and people at risk of homelessness in Ireland.
Responsibilities:
* Provide support to young individuals who have undergone trauma or exhibit challenging behaviour
* Advocate for the social work, aftercare, education, training, and legal rights of young individuals
* Foster the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of each young person under our care
* Uphold the rights and responsibilities of every young person within our service
* Maintain accurate records related to the residential unit and individual young people
Requirements:
* A Third-level Degree in Social Care or equivalent
* Demonstrated hands-on experience in a social care environment at a professional level or equivalent
* Working knowledge and understanding of Child Protection
* Experience of key working, assessments, and care planning
Desirable Requirements:
* Familiarity and comprehension of the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention model
Benefits:
Salary: €36,687 - €41,710 (depending on experience)
