About you
You have achieved a Leaving Cert or equivalent qualification and have at least 3 years’ experience as a process Operator within Oral Solid Dose Pharma manufacturing and you are competent in sharing knowledge and training others. You are highly capable with a technical mindset, a relevant trade qualification is desirable as is experience of working with soft gel technologies. You also have knowledge of safety related issues including compliance with regulations.
You will draw from your many skills including excellent communication, both verbal and written, planning, multi-tasking and time management. You are comfortable in stepping up to a leadership role and have the ability to form positive relationships. You enjoy collaborating, gaining & sharing knowledge, continuous improvement and solving problems. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of SAP and Microsoft tools including Excel, Word and Powerpoint are also key.
About the Job
In this role you are a technical and people leader in the production team, providing day to day leadership and support for operational activities while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of Eirgen.
You will:
* Manufacture / pack OSD products, ensuring all work carried out is in compliance with the required standards conforming to company, cGxP, SOPs, regulatory regulations and guidelines, safety and environmental guidelines.
* Operate the encapsulation process and soft gel process.
* Set up equipment- Encapsulation Machine including Tumble drying, Drying Tunnel, and Printing Machine, Capsule Sorting Machine, Inspection Belt and any other equipment required for Softgel manufacturing.
* Perform or verify batch record entries. Ensures batch records, equipment log books, and other relevant records are up-to-date.
* Maintain lubricant level in Softgel Encapsulation Machine. Specialise in the process troubleshooting of Softgel process on Softgel Encapsulation Machine.
* Be familiar with In-Process Testing Equipment and be able to test Softgel for seam thickness, Hardness, Burst strength, cell weight etc. using testing equipment to ensure quality production.
* Ensure materials are correct and fed to encapsulation machinery in accordance with specific procedures.
* Continuously monitor the production process, ensuring the ribbon thickness meets standards, temperature is appropriate to product, and weight and size of finished product meets specifications.
* Perform changeovers from one product or batch to another; disassemble equipment and clean according to procedures; reassemble and make ready for next batch; work with tooling/set-ups.
* Lead Tier 1 meeting in Production during team leads absence and assign daily tasks accordingly.
* Perform room line clearances as per SOP.
* Review and sign off process steps in Production team leads absence.
* Communicate directly with the maintenance team to coordinate maintenance and repair work in manufacturing areas.
* Perform preventative maintenance activities as required.
* Assist maintenance technicians in performing maintenance and repairs.
* Lead and assist with diagnosing and trouble-shooting maintenance related issues.
People Leadership
* Train other operators in all aspects of OSD manufacturing.
* Lead by example for all operators on your shift.
* Stand in for the team leader when required.
