*Dublin, Cork or Galway* Geotechnical Engineer with 5-7+ years experience needed to join a highly respected, award-winning international multi-disciplinary consultancy with offices in Dublin, Cork and Galway. This role will involve working on large scale projects and comes with excellent career progression opportunities. The successful Geotechnical Engineer will be delivering complex geotechnical design solutions as part of our overall multidisciplinary team on infrastructure projects such as rail, highways, structures & water. Duties: The successful Geotechnical Engineer will work in the Geotechnical team within a multidiscipline office and shall work on varied projects such as rail, highways, structures & water. As Geotechnical Engineer you will be involved in delivery of geotechnical design packages incl. earthworks, slope stability, shallow and deep foundations and retaining walls. Planning and procurement of ground investigation contracts for major infrastructure and commercial development projects Designing earthworks and foundations to Eurocode 7. Preparing earthworks designs to Eurocode 7, including production of earthworks specifications and design drawings. Pavement foundation design in accordance with TII / UK DMRB. Design of ground improvement techniques for soft ground, including surcharge, vertical drains, piled embankments, and lime/concrete subgrade stabilisation. Requirements: Honours Degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Structural Engineering. The successful Geotechnical Engineer should have 5+ years post graduate Geotechnical design experience within an engineering consultancy. Fully experienced in design to Eurocode 7. Experience working in Irish/UK glacial till soils desirable, but not essential.
