Accounts Assistant - Permanent On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistantto join their finance team. The organization is a prestigious sports club located in Dublins city centre. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the financial operations of a well-established club. In this role, you will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and membership-related transactions. You will be a key player in maintaining the financial records and supporting various financial activities of the club. Salary:€42,000-€45,000 Location:Dublin 4 Hours:37.5 hours per week (excluding a one-hour unpaid lunch break) Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Analyze nominal ledger income and expenses. Generate ad hoc reports as required. Financial Operations: Manage weekly income from bar, catering, green fees, and competitions. Process monthly payroll using Sage, along with pension and revenue returns. Handle creditor invoice processing, payments, and debtor receipts. Record all expenses, income, and journals on Sage. Manage yearly and ongoing membership subscription income, discounts, and entrance fees. Financial Reconciliations: Perform daily bank reconciliations and resolve queries. Reconcile Global Payments. Conduct quarterly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. Membership Support: Process and manage membership payments and records in Jonas. Provide support for membership inquiries. Internal Processes: Ensure finance-related processes are documented and updated regularly. Additional Support: Assist in club projects and provide financial support to Golf and Tennis operations as needed. What Youll Need: At least 2 years of experience in an Accounts Assistant role. Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Sage preferred). Experience with Jonas database is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities. A self-motivated team player with flexibility to work extra hours if required. High level of integrity and confidentiality.
