Job Title: Centre Secretary/Bookkeeper
A 6-month fixed term contract, full-time role requiring general office administration and day-to-day running of the Accounts function. Meet specific account deadlines and conduct secretarial and administration support duties to the Area Manager/Assistant Area Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain the accounting system operated by National Learning Network.
* Input invoices into the SUN Accounts system in good time, dealing with accounts queries and liaising with the Regional Bookkeeper on the preparation of month-end and year-end accounts.
* Meet specific accounts deadlines, input attendance details and maintain the service-user payroll system.
* Deal with queries from service-users on their allowances and welfare queries on behalf of service-users.
* Perform general office administration and maintain records in accordance with practice in the training centre.
* Support identifying and pursuing referral sources for programmes.
Requirements:
* IT qualification (ECDL) desirable but not essential.
* Desirable accounting technician or part-qualified.
* At least two years' experience in bookkeeping and general secretarial skills.
* Previous experience of Sun Accounts system desirable but not essential.
* Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access.
* Experience of dealing with persons with additional needs an advantage.
