Our client, a global healthcare leader, is keen to hire a Process Project Engineer to join their team in Cavan on an initial 12-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Process Project Engineer, you will be required to:
1. Manage and execute assigned projects within the Process Department, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
2. Design, install, commission, and validate new equipment while improving existing process units and systems.
3. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with Abbott’s safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, HR, etc.) to ensure smooth project implementation and alignment with operational goals.
5. Prepare and review engineering designs, project schedules, budgets, and validation documentation.
6. Identify and implement cost improvement projects (CIPs) to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
7. Provide regular project updates to the Process Project Manager, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
8. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in mechanical and electrical systems, offering expert guidance to the team.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
2. At least 3 years of engineering experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or food/dairy manufacturing sectors.
3. Proven experience with process engineering, equipment installation, and project management.
4. Strong understanding of automation systems (PLC, SCADA) and design software (AutoCAD, Microsoft Project).
5. Demonstrated expertise in continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, FMEA, RCA) and excellent problem-solving skills.
