The Moriarty Group is an Irish owned company involved in both the Retail Grocery and Hospitality Industries. The company’s portfolio currently comprises of three large Super Valu Supermarkets in Balbriggan and Skerries, North County Dublin and Palmerstown, Dublin 20. The company also owns two 4* Hotels, the Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan, North County Dublin and the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. The company currently employs approximately 550 people.
The Moriarty Group of Super Valu's are 3 of the largest Super Valu stores in the Dublin area. We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Butcher to join our meat department team in our Palmerstown store.

The Role:
This is a full-time position working an average of 45 hours per week, 5 days over 7 to include weekends and public holidays.
Main Duties:
* Responsible for the day-to-day operations of our busy Butcher/Meat Department.
* Work with the team in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the Meat/Butchers Department.
* Stock taking.
* Ordering.
* Product preparation for serve-over counter and prepack section.
* Range/product development (in conjunction with Area Meat Manager/Store Manager)
* Ensuring the highest quality product is displayed at all times.
* Counter Service
* Staff Training and Development
* Providing a high level of customer service at all times.
Requirements:
* Must be a fully qualified butcher.
* Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a manager within a busy meat/butcher department.
* Must be HACCP trained.
* Must be familiar with all legislation associated with the sale of fresh food/fresh meat.
* Must be experienced in training junior/new staff.
* Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.
* Must be able to multi-task and be willing to help out where required in all areas of the fresh department.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Excellent customer care skills.
* Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
* Must be available for early starts.
