Billing Manager Job Description
At {company}, we are seeking a dedicated Billing Manager to oversee our billing team and ensure accurate and timely generation of invoices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise the billing team, ensuring all staff meet their targets.
* Set and align team goals with divisional and organisational objectives.
* Motivate and manage team members, setting clear goals and objectives.
* Develop and implement procedures for accurate and timely invoice generation.
* Train staff and identify training needs, designing and delivering training programs as required.
* Establish internal controls to monitor billing accuracy.
* Generate accurate and timely invoices for complex inpatient stays.
* Collaborate with hospital departments to ensure all billable procedures are captured and billed correctly.
* Achieve month-end billing targets and deadlines.
* Develop and monitor KPIs for team members.
* Assist the claims manager in meeting monthly finance team submission targets.
* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly activity statistics and variance analysis.
* Represent the finance team in monthly inter-departmental meetings.
* Resolve daily issues within the team.
* Contribute to system upgrades and implementations to enhance billing quality and efficiency.
* Maintain regular contact with the Finance Office Manager, reporting any issues.
* Undertake additional duties or projects as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Rlevant third-level qualification with evidence of continuous professional development.
* Experience in people management or leading a team/project.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in finance or billing within a healthcare setting.
* Ability to prioritise tasks to meet billing targets.
* Strong team management skills for high performance.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility.
* Excellent communication skills.
