Responsibilities will include:
* Raising orders for products and services to maintain core stock levels and meet service/installation requirements.
* Managing open orders to receipt. Expediting orders with suppliers and carriers.
* Engaging with carriers to arrange the collection/delivery of orders.
* Engaging with Operations to confirm the receipt of materials and services on site.
* Engaging with the Warehouse Team to prompt ERP receipt of materials and services received remotely.
* Working with AP Team/Suppliers to resolve invoice queries.
* Negotiating pricing where necessary.
* Working with the team to achieve savings targets.
* Statutory environmental reporting.
* Data analysis and process improvement where necessary.
* Compliance with health and safety and internal controls and external standards as relevant.
What we would like you to bring to the role:
You will be a proven Buyer, with experience already gained or a recent graduate in Procurement or Supply Chain with some work experience in the field.
Qualifications and experience:
* Experience of using JDE ERP system ideal.
* Proven fluency in using Microsoft Excel.
* Experience in the Fire and Security or similar sector is desirable.
* Eagerness to contribute to the successful performance of the supply chain team.
* Conscientious in your work and detail-oriented.
* Keen to develop in your role.
* The ability to ‘think outside of the box’ and be extremely proactive.
* Commercially and solution-focused.
