Job Overview:
As an Intake & Dispatch General Operative, the employee plays a crucial role within the company, collaborating closely with the Operations Team.
It is essential that the employee adheres to the outlined role responsibilities and duties.
Flexibility is key, as there may be adjustments to the employee's duties and responsibilities within the general scope of their position
Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform production tasks as directed in the designated manufacturing area, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Collaborate as an integral member of the Production team to meet production output targets and quality standards within the specified timeframe.
Accurately complete all necessary documentation related to production activities in a timely manner.
Promptly notify the area Supervisor or Team Leader of any deviations from SOPs or the standard production process.
Consult with the Area Supervisor or Team Leader in case of uncertainties or unusual findings.
Ensure the workplace is consistently audit-ready, maintaining cleanliness and order during production activities.
Conduct temperature monitoring of products, processing, and storage rooms, reporting any deviations from required standards.
Actively participate in all provided training sessions.
Prevent cross-species contamination and adhere to allergen SOPs.
Fully comply with safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Promptly inform the company or your supervisor of any equipment malfunctions, workplace issues, or deviations from statutory regulations that could pose risks to safety, health, and welfare, once identified.
Maintain flexibility to transition between different roles/areas as per business requirements and work flexible hours within legal guidelines, including Saturday and Sunday if requested.
Operate scanners for stock management and tracking purposes.
Conduct stock takes and reconciliation to ensure accurate inventory records.
Utilise stock control software and Excel for efficient inventory management and data analysis.
Apply strong mathematical skills in daily tasks related to inventory, measurements, and data analysis.
Maintain awareness of quality control standards and ensure all dispatched and received goods meet company expectations.
Food Safety Compliance:
Implement the Food Safety System effectively as part of daily duties.
Conduct food production and cleaning duties in adherence to the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.
Report any food safety or hygiene issues promptly to the supervisor, Production Manager, or Quality Team.
Notify the supervisor if suffering from any illness that may compromise food product safety.
Success Measures and Department Goals:
Complete adherence to all SOPs and Quality Attribute Sheets (QAS) ensuring their full implementation.
Prompt reporting of SOP deviations, Critical Control Points (CCPs), or any other issues to the Team Leader and Supervisor.
Maintain an audit-ready work area consistently by keeping the workstation clean and tidy at all times.
Achieve efficiency targets as set by the Supervisor of the designated area.
Recognise that regular attendance at work is vital for the effective operation of your area.
Any instances of poor attendance will be addressed in accordance with the Working Hours, Time Keeping and Absence Management Policy
