Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with at least one year of experience in logistics to manage supplier order confirmations, delivery schedules, and logistics coordination. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth communication with suppliers, handle invoice queries, and support logistics planning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process order confirmations and follow up with suppliers on outstanding confirmations.
* Handle supplier invoices and resolve related queries.
* Act as the main point of contact for supplier queries regarding order confirmations and deliveries.
* Maintain and update delivery schedules, informing the Logistics Manager of any issues.
* Ensure delivery dates and locations are confirmed and updated where necessary.
* Obtain and assess quotes for freight and customs charges.
* Organise and attend weekly logistics and project planning meetings.
* Deliver weekly POR delivery date schedules.
* Coordinate with logistics management on cross-docking and trans-shipping requirements.
* Address payment queries related to order confirmations.
* Maintain various databases and provide ad-hoc support for customer and supplier queries.
* Foster strong relationships with suppliers.
Requirements:
* Minimum one year of experience in logistics or a related field.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems (preferred).
