Qualified Accountant wanted for Global Insurance Group-Dublin City
Abrivia Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced Accountant to join a leading Global Insurance Group based in Dublin City Centre. This role is critical within the Financial Reporting team and will report directly to the Head of Reporting & Accounting.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial reports to both internal and external stakeholders, while also playing a key role in maintaining and enhancing financial processes.
This is a hybrid role, allowing for a flexible working arrangement, with an expectation of spending at least 40% of the week in the office.
Your Role:
* Oversee the completion of month-end procedures, including the preparation of journal entries and detailed financial analysis.
* Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Assist in compiling and finalising the monthly Management Accounts Pack, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
* Support the preparation and submission of comprehensive Group reporting packs.
* Address and resolve queries from Group headquarters, collaborating closely with Senior Accountants.
* Ensure robust financial controls are established and maintained across all processes.
* Evaluate and document existing financial processes, proactively suggesting and implementing improvements.
* Contribute to the preparation of statutory accounts and regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
* Collaborate with the Finance team to facilitate a seamless and efficient annual audit process.
* Engage in various ad-hoc projects as directed by Finance Management, providing financial insights and support as needed.
Your Skills:
* Professionally qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical knowledge.
* A minimum of 1 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally gained in a large professional services firm or a multinational corporate environment.
* Exceptional analytical capabilities with an acute attention to detail.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
* Proven track record of managing deadlines and delivering high-quality work under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
* Competence in liaising effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
