Job Description:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a salesperson who has prior experience generating new revenue from existing clients. The Account Development Manager combines an excellent knowledge of the FMCG industry and a deep understanding of NIQ products and services.
The Account Development Manager is responsible for deepening relationships and driving sales and renewals across the NielsenIQ suite of products, ensuring effective account planning and management across an assigned client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Developing a deep understanding of client industry/business to plan/execute sales strategies to drive contract renewals.
2. Build and maintain strong C-suite relationships, securing new revenue opportunities for both short and long cycles.
3. Proactively expanding client network, building and owning local customer relationships.
4. Unlock new local stakeholders/buyer personas/budget holders across the account.
5. Collecting and sharing Voice of Customer through ongoing client interactions.
6. Partnering with Global Account Development and Customer Success to develop and execute Account Plans and JBPs.
7. Be the voice of the client within NIQ, owning the quarterly review and JBP processes with your Customer Success counterparts and being a point of escalation for the client for any problems that need support solving directly or across teams.
8. Work collaboratively with other teams within NIQ to maximize the client experience.
9. Own prospecting and identification of local selling opportunities for the generalist product set.
10. Bring in the right sales and product specialists and customer success resources to support local accounts; orchestrate local client relationships across roles.
11. Owning the forecasting and achievement of revenue targets for your client portfolio.
12. Ensure internal account management files are accurately maintained and up to date with financial targets, proposal submissions, revenue on hand, pipeline, etc.
Ideal Role Requirements:
1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a commercial role.
2. Strong client-facing and communication skills.
3. A proven track record in Sales.
4. Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
5. Experience selling enterprise-based solutions.
6. A proven ability to generate business across a portfolio of existing clients.
7. An understanding of the issues facing FMCG manufacturers and retailers.
8. FMCG experience and understanding of data would be an advantage.
9. Very strong business English, both verbal and written.
10. Numerical literacy.
11. Team player.
12. Comfortable working in a digital-enabled environment.
13. Have the legal right to live and work in Ireland.
