Job Title: Lead Design Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to take on a people management position or someone looking for a new challenge offering long-term career progression.
The successful candidate will have experience with fire sprinkler systems and possess strong project management skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage, coach, mentor, train, and support a team of design engineers to maximise their full potential.
* Implement training and coaching programmes to meet operational requirements in line with company strategy, policies, procedures, and processes.
* Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance management, retention, employee engagement, and learning development of the design team.
Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in fire sprinkler design.
* Experience using Revit.
* Demonstrated skills in project management.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise work and manage challenging workload.
* Flexible, adaptable, and can-do attitude to work.
* Proven record of building and sustaining effective and professional working relationships.
* Excellent time management, attention to detail, and reliability skills.
