Job Title:
Assistant Lecturer Electrical Apprenticeship
Contract Details:
2 Year Fixed Term Contract
Key Responsibilities:
* Teaching, research, academic assessment and academic administration.
* Carry out assigned duties including but not limited to: teaching classes, carrying out assessments, providing academic input on courses, engaging in research, consultancy and development work, participating in committees and meetings.
* Directing and supervising the work of Tutor/Demonstrator and taking academic responsibility for the academic standards of this work.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Appropriate honours primary degree(s) in an Electrical Engineering related discipline or equivalent.
* Completion of an appropriate full trade apprenticeship in Electrical or equivalent and passed all associated examinations including post-apprenticeship qualifications or equivalent.
* Three years relevant post-qualification experience.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in all aspects of Electrical Practice.
* Experience of PLCs and Electronics.
* Knowledge and experience of Health & Safety regulations.
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
Progression Opportunities:
Assistant Lecturers will progress to the grade of Lecturer on completion of one year's service after having reached the maximum of the Assistant Lecturer scale subject to a minimum of five years continuous service.

Candidates should note that eligibility to compete for posts is open to citizens of the European Economic Area (EEA) or to non-EEA nationals with a valid work permit.
