ACCOUNT MANAGER- FOODSERVICE- NORTH DUBLIN/ LOUTH
My Client is a family led FMCG business based in the Northeast and due to continued growth are now looking for an Account Manager for the Foodservice channel. This is an exciting time to join the business as they have ambitious plans to grow and have a clear 5 year plan in place. They have over 250 people in the business- and have grown from a small player within the specialty Foods category to a well known household name within the Northeast region.
This role will be a hybrid role- a mix of being in the office but also out meetings with customers. NB For this role, you must be based anywhere from North Dublin- Belfast and to be considered for this position; you must have 4-5 years Foodservice account management experience ( so have contacts in Sysco, Aramark, Compass etc)
Responsibilities
* Manage the P&L for the foodservice sector, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
* Develop, communicate, and execute a commercial strategy that drives revenue and profit, while aligning with the company’s overall mission and objectives.
* Identify and prioritize new growth opportunities, including customer segments, pricing strategies, distribution channels, and product expansion.
* Build and maintain high-trust relationships with key customers, optimizing partnerships and securing long-term business.
* Create and manage budgets, analyse financial performance, and set and monitor KPIs to achieve revenue and profit targets.
* Continuously analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and develop data-driven strategies.
* Leverage market insights to contribute to product development and branding strategies that enhance our market positioning.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams across operations, quality, finance, and sales to ensure commercial objectives are met.
* Act as a key leader within the business sales team, contributing to overall business strategy and execution.
Required experience
* Proven track record of growing sales and have a full Drivers license.
* Strong commercial acumen, with expertise in sales, negotiation, and business strategy.
* Excellent relationship-building skills with both new and existing customers.
* Ability to analyse financial and sales data to drive strategic decisions.
* Highly organised, results-driven, and capable of working under pressure.
* Experience in managing P&L, budgeting, and KPI tracking.
* Passionate about the baked goods industry, with a deep understanding of market trends and customer preferences.
* Experience in creating detailed sales reports and using data to inform strategy.
