Our approach embraces many aspects of tax solutions from ideas to implementation across a range of tax services including business taxation, transactions, transfer pricing, international tax structuring, VAT, customs, tax management, tax compliance, research and development tax relief, personal tax advisory and compliance, human resource tax services and foreign direct investment.
The tax practice is organised into five client service teams - Domestic and international outbound (DIO), Financial Services (FS), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Specialist Tax Services (STS).
What does this role offer?
As a Tax Compliance Administrator, you will be responsible for preparing corporate tax computations and VAT returns with an emphasis on providing high quality tax compliance services. We will provide training for the successful candidate with a mix of on-the-job learning, online/virtual training provided by PwC and possibly some academic study. To be successful in this role you should have a keen interest in tax compliance and an eagerness to complete the ITI Tax Technician qualification or the corporation tax and VAT modules thereof.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Work on corporate tax computations across a variety of sectors and industries, with excellent opportunities to develop your skills and experience.
2. Prepare bi-monthly VAT returns and annual VAT filings.
3. Using your technical ability and knowledge to deliver high quality output to our clients.
4. Interacting with clients and engagement teams.
5. Collaborate in order to drive improvements in upstream and downstream processes.
6. Embrace the digital transformation being undertaken in our business.
7. Utilise the flexible working environment with efficient management of personal assignments, while reporting to a team of experienced senior team members.
8. Be part of and contribute to the fun working environment offered by PwC and act as an advocate to promote our learning culture.
About you – Key skills and competencies:
1. Office experience of 6 months in a similar environment is desirable but not essential.
2. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or similar desirable but not essential.
3. Keen interest in developing skills in the area of Irish corporate tax / compliance and VAT.
4. Potentially pursuing Tax Technician qualification or interest to do so.
5. Highly methodical with excellent attention to detail.
6. Keen focus on improving processes and ways of working.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Enthusiastic team player, highly motivated and flexible.
9. Demonstrate strong commitment and willingness to learn, upskill and adapt to change.
