Mellon Educate is an Irish-based African development charity founded by Niall Mellon in 2002.
From the enormous collective effort of their volunteers, in conjunction with the South African government, they have built houses for 250,000 homeless people in South Africas townships.
In 2013, the charity redoubled its commitments to those less fortunate in Africa, pledging a 10-year education development programme to provide better education to more than 100,000 African children.
Role Purpose: This role reports to CEO.
In this role, you will drive innovative digital campaigns, be responsible for PR and develop strategic branding initiatives.
You will be adept at creating impactful narratives, fostering relationships with media, and driving brand awareness initiatives that highlight the company's commitment to their mission.

Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Direction: Craft and implement cutting-edge digital marketing strategies.

Social Media Management: Lead content creation strategies and foster audience engagement.

PR: Coordinate all public relations activities including press releases.
Develop a marketing communications plan to include strategy, goals and budget.
Develop a media relations strategy to include placement in print, broadcast and online media.
The Person:- The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes: 3+ years Digital Marketing/ Brand /PR experience with a proven track record.
Relevant degree in Marketing, Digital Media, PR or equivalent qualification.
Experience of creating, iterating, and managing impactful content for social media, website, and fundraising materials.
Demonstrable creativity andexperience of managing campaigns from inception through to evaluation.
Demonstrable experience in a media, PR, or marketing environment.
Demonstrable experience of managing campaigns from inception through to evaluation.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
Exceptional communication, organisation, and presentation abilities.
Excellent organisational skills & demonstrable budget management skills are required Skills: Strategic rigour, the ability to simplify detailed information and translate this into messaging which resonates and differentiates.
Strong project management skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and partners.
Initiative-taker with the ability to drive work forward to tight deadlines.
Proven ability to analyse and report on content and digital performance.

Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
Experience of using website content management systems such as WordPress.
Strong analytical skills.
Experience of social media management and strategy.
Capacity to work hands on as required.
