Radisson RED Galway is a new and exciting addition to Galway City, opening this winter. It will be the first Radisson RED property in Ireland and a welcomed addition to the city. We are searching for a dedicated and passionate Meetings & Events Operations Manager to join our team at Radisson RED Galway.

About the role:
Reporting to the General Manager, as the Meetings & Events Operations Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind every event, from intimate meetings to grand celebrations. You’ll take charge of coordinating, and executing events that embody the Radisson RED spirit; bold, unique, and absolutely unforgettable. Your goal is to ensure every event runs like clockwork and leaves our guests wowed.
In this role, you’ll be juggling a variety of tasks, from collaborating with clients to understand their vision, coordinating with vendors, managing event logistics, and ensuring flawless execution on the day. Your organisational skills will be top class as you oversee every detail, from setup to teardown, making sure everything aligns with our RED philosophy; ENJOY IT! You’ll be the expert behind the scenes, ensuring our events not only meet, but exceed clients’ expectations.
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in event management, exceptional organisational skills, and a flair for creativity. - Minimum experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in Meetings & Events.
- Minimum educational requirements: National academic qualifications / Degree in hospitality preferable.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the smooth running of the meeting & events department, where all aspects of the client and guest experience are delivered to the highest levels, ensuring both property and company standards are attained and adhered to.
2. Work proactively to maximise client and guest satisfaction, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution.
3. Develop and implement strategies where the meeting & events department metrics are identified, communicated and delivered where reports and tracking tools are effectively maintained in line with defined initiatives & targets.
4. Effectively manage the life cycle of the team within the department, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance whilst reflecting and promoting the company culture and values.
5. Prepare and be responsible for the departmental budget, ensuring that sales targets are realised, that costs and departmental inventory are controlled, and that target productivity and performance levels are attained.
6. Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders and partners both internal and external ensuring all communications and activities are controlled and undertaken in a timely manner.
7. Establish and deliver effective programmes that advance sales and profitability, which may include working with internal and external stakeholders as required, whilst incorporating environmental concerns.
8. Ensure adherence to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required.
