Managing Partner – Corporate & Public Affairs Practice (Strategy and Business Development Focus) Working closely with the Head of Practice, the Managing Partner will play a key role in driving the future growth of the Practice, including shaping the future Corporate and Public Affairs vision and developing strategies for growth.
Identify new markets for growth and emerging capabilities to strengthen our Corporate and Public Affairs offering.
Partner with the Head of Practice to drive and grow the Practice, ensuring it is set up for future success.
Focus on the development of new business and meet annually assigned financial targets.
Oversee and develop initiatives and projects with existing and new clients.
Provide mentorship to direct reports and support the development of the wider team.
Strategy and Business Development Develop a Corporate and Public Affairs Practice business development program.
Pursue opportunities for developing new business within and across company offices.
Provide leadership in developing and presenting new business programs.
Ensure quality ideas and recommendations for new/expanded programs.
Deliver strong analyses and concepts for new program development.
Initiative and General Management Support achievement of the company's vision and exemplify its values.
Contribute to agency growth as a project, team, and agency leader.
Manage people effectively to develop their skills and loyalty.
Develop and implement solutions to problems.
Work closely with the Head of Practice and senior leadership team.
Account Management Act as the client's contact for strategic and creative issues.
Develop and manage projects, including implementation plans and budgets.
Ensure all brand activity follows agreed brand strategy.
Independently manage major business accounts or projects.
Crisis/Issues Management Handle crisis and issues management situations for clients.
Prepare and update crisis management materials.
Professional Skills Combine strategic thinking with strong business development skills.
Plan and manage large-scale events effectively.
Develop clients' media relations and social media strategy.
Provide strong leadership in building effective account teams.
People Management Involved in the recruitment of new talent.
Manage performance appraisals for direct reports.
Maximize productivity and performance of teams.
