Senior Product Manager Space & Power– Global Product Management
Digital Realty looking for an experienced Product Manager lead the expansion of colocation space and power services across our global portfolio of data centers. The Senior Product Manager will blend technical and business expertise to champion cross functional efforts and data center colocation solutions. The role requires a customer focus, a desire for constant improvement and a predisposition to action.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on, forward-thinker responsible with a history of accomplishing stated objectives. S/he will be expected to conceive, prioritize, develop and communicate solutions based on their extensive experience, understanding of market trends, customer needs and the competitive landscape overall. The candidate must be organized, adept at planning and managing multiple activities concurrently, and possesses exceptional collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
What you'll do
Define and communicate the inventory and product strategy and vision for Space and Power Products.
Support overall capacity planning and investment management to ensure up to date inventory is available for the product portfolio
Identify new product opportunities and enhancements to existing services based on available inventory, market research, customer feedback, and technological advancements.
Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic goals.
Work closely with sales, engineering, operations, and design teams to develop new products and improve existing services.
Create detailed product requirements and specifications.
Prioritize product features and manage the product backlog.
Lead cross-functional teams through the product lifecycle, from conception to launch, and ongoing support.
Communicate product status, key issues, and launch plans to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Facilitate collaboration between departments to ensure product success.
Create go-to-market strategies and collaborate with marketing teams to develop product positioning, messaging, and launch plans.
Develop sales collateral, including brochures, presentations, case studies, and whitepapers.
Train and support the sales team on product features, benefits, and competitive differentiation.
Monitor and analyze product performance, including revenue, profitability, and market share.
Develop and manage the product budget, including forecasting and cost analysis.
Set pricing strategies to achieve financial objectives and competitive positioning.
What you'll need
Over a decade of product management experience in data center or technology environment, with a deep understanding of evolving technologies and market trends.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree in Product Management is a plus.
Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle, including product strategy, roadmap development, and feature definition.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex data, translate customer needs into product features, and make data-driven decisions to enhance product performance.
Expertise in conducting competitive analysis, market research, and user testing to inform product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
Proficiency in product performance management, with skills in setting, monitoring, and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and achieve business objectives.
Strong leadership and project management abilities, with experience in managing budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver high-quality products on schedule.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate product vision and strategy to stakeholders at all levels, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong focus on delivering customer value.
Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools, analytics platforms, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
A customer-centric mindset, with a passion for creating innovative and user-friendly products that solve real-world problems.
The Senior Product Manager Space & Power may also be required to travel to other markets or other locations where customer IT / engineering groups are located to conduct and lead on-site meetings. Therefore, may require approximately 25% travel.
