My client, A Multinational Industrial Manufacturer based in Cork, is in need of an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their busy and growing facility. If you are looking to utilize your Supply Chain Management experience and want to grow on your career this is the role for you The Supply Chain Manager reports to the Operations Manager for the organisation of people, equipment, and processes across Planning, Purchasing, Supplier Development, Customer Service and Logistics (shipping, receiving and stores) areas to ensure business and customer commitments are met. The responsibilities for the desired Supply Chain Manager include but are not limited to: Manage the Procurement, Planning, Supplier Development, Customer Service and Logistics teams, inc. Known Consignor shipping area, ensuring a balanced workload so that assigned work is completed on time and to the required quality standards. Co-ordinate with Production, Quality and Engineering staff to achieve plans against Sales Orders Review and assess employee performance as well as set and monitor employee goals and objectives Work with HR on recruitment and staffing for Procurement, Planning, Supplier Development, Customer Service and Logistics teams. Coordinate the training and development of employees with the Learning and Development team to maximise employee flexibility through cross training and to ensure employee growth. Meet weekly/monthly purchasing, shipping and customer response targets and where targets are not met, ensure the appropriate corrective and preventative actions are taken as necessary to meet the agreed targets for the production areas. Accountable for area KPI's in line with the business needs and constraints: Monitor inventory levels to ensure accuracy and availability of purchased parts and made assemblies from stock. Ensure compliance with Dangerous Goods Transportation requirements as well as with import & export trade regulations for goods and services. Monitor Supply Chain processes to identify opportunities through applying Lean and Continuous Improvement techniques and tools. (5S etc) and though working in tandem with the Value Stream. Initiate, lead and support workplace change and innovation to meet growing business needs. Ensure good control practices, including material handling & storage; transaction/data integrity. Ensure accurate inventory records on the ERP system. Generate system reports to check for inventory discrepancies. Optimise maintenance of customer owned inventory The requirements of the Supply Chain Manager includes but is not limited to: 10+ years leading and managing people in a regulated manufacturing environment A qualification and experience in Supply Chain, Planning and Logistics management or related business discipline An Engineering qualification or experience in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or related discipline is an advantage SAP experience is an advantage as the company is transitioning to SAP Experience in Known Consignor compliance is an advantage Lean experience is an advantage A Project Management experience is an advantage Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent written and oral communication Excellent organisation and problem solving skills Ability to communicate appropriately across the range of roles from senior management to line operators If you feel that you fulfil the above qualifications please apply today with your CV.
