QSHE Manager About the Role: As the new QSHE Manager, you will be a key driver in shaping a positive, safety-first culture across operations. Reporting to the Regional Director and with a strong partnership with the QSHE Director, youll help deliver the businesss QSHE strategy, ensuring we not only meet, but exceed, critical Occupational, Process Safety, Environmental, Security, and Quality standards. Youll play a pivotal role in protecting the business across 4 sites, from risks and ensuring compliance with ISO and industry standards. With your expertise, the company will continue to uphold their reputation as a leader in safety and quality. Youll have a direct impact on promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement. By engaging with employees at every level, youll ensure that the companys corporate safety standards are consistently exceeded. As a senior leader, youll oversee key safety initiatives, provide expert guidance, and lead by example to ensure a safe working environment for all. Based out of Dublin but there will be Regional Ireland, UK, and overseas travel to contribute to the EMEA QSHE team. Key Responsibilities: Health & Safety Expertise: Ensure all operational activities comply with current legislation, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant working environment. Safety Culture Champion: Lead, influence, and promote a proactive safety culture throughout the business. Incident Leadership: Take charge in the event of an incident, providing quick responses and on-site leadership when necessary. Strategy Development: Drive the development and implementation of the QSHE strategy, aligning with Global AIPSM and Occupational Safety policies. Safety Management Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain robust safety systems to mitigate risks and promote safe working practices. Safety Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits to identify risks, suggest improvements, and ensure the effectiveness of safety systems. Competency & Training: Lead the development of safety competency programs and provide training to all employees to foster a culture of safety excellence. Customer Engagement: Directly engage with customers on safety and quality matters, conducting site inspections to ensure safety compliance. Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze safety performance metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports to senior management with actionable recommendations. Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of safety regulations and industry best practices, liaising with relevant authorities to ensure compliance and risk management. Who We Are Looking For: Qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, with the desire to continuously improve your qualifications. Chartered Safety Professional (CMIOSH) would be an advantage. Degree in Chemistry or related scientific field (or equivalent vocational qualification) preferred. DGSA qualification or ADR knowledge is a plus. Full UK/EU driving licence required. Experience: Proven track record in Health & Safety advisory or management roles. Experience in the chemical industry (experience with COMAH/SEVESO sites highly desirable). Strong knowledge of chemical industry legislation and standards. Experience managing regulatory inspections and audits, especially from HSE & EA. Familiarity with ISO, Quality Processes, Process Safety, and Responsible Care codes. Skills & Attributes: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, engage, and mentor employees. Proactive, solution-oriented approach with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a positive attitude.
