ROLE BRIEF
We are looking for a highly competent Sales Director to join Richmond’s senior team and be at the heart of one of Ireland’s most exciting FMCG businesses. The Sales Director will be responsible for the full On-Trade, Off-Trade and Out of Home Channels in the Republic of Ireland and play a significant role in driving our business forward. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role will be responsible for developing key sales strategies, tactics and action plans, as well as the successful execution of these strategies to achieve value and volume targets. Working closely with the Commercial, Finance and Marketing teams, the Sales Director will focus on hitting annual targets, cultivating relationships in the trade and understanding customer trends.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build, coach & develop 3 high performing field sales teams, shaping them for future success and progression.
Manage the department efficiently and effectively within budget.
Create and communicate sales goals and ensure the Leadership Team are informed on the progress of those goals.
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets, identify future growth opportunities, and expand our customer base.
Lead the development and implementation of strategic channel plans and drive profitability across all channels in line with company budget.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
Understand category-specific landscapes and trends and report on forces that shift the strategic direction of accounts.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with Brand Principals.
Be responsible for the availability, distribution, and execution of the full portfolio of Richmond Brands in the trade in the Republic of Ireland.
Increase the brands' presence and space in the market in line with our Brand Principals' KPIs.
Work closely with the Marketing teams to plan, coordinate, and implement brand activations in trade to ensure our brands show up in the best possible way.
Set examples for the sales teams in areas of personal character, collaboration, commitment, organisation, selling skills and work habits.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
5+ years experience in a similar leadership role.
Industry experience within the FMCG environment, supported by exceptional selling, negotiation and commercial acumen is essential.
Strong people management and leadership experience is essential.
