Due to continued fleet growth, an established and growing company based in Arklow, County Wicklow is looking for a candidate to join as a member of its busy Commercial Department. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our owned dry bulk and general cargo vessels, ensuring efficient and compliant vessel performance. Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support a busy chartering (freight trading) team, coordinating logistics internationally including:
1. Voyage planning and execution to optimise ship/shore operations.
2. Coordinate and monitor all aspects of shipping operations by liaising with various stakeholders, including agents, vessel masters, bunker suppliers, vessel brokers, and insurers, to ensure the smooth execution of shipments.
3. Close daily contact across all Company Departments including Technical, Crewing, and Finance Departments.
4. Handling/verification of all necessary documentation for different counterparties involved in the shipping operations.
The Candidate
Excellent communication, social skills, and organisational skills are essential.
While previous experience within the shipping or transport industry would be advantageous, it is not required.
Familiarity with common software packages is necessary.
Normal office hours apply. However, other out-of-hours work may arise due to the international nature of the work, therefore some flexibility is required.

This position is a permanent job subject to a probation period, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and progress with the growth of the Company.
