Helpdesk Support
Job Type: 5+ months contract – extendable to 24 months
Location: Dublin – Onsite
The Role
The scope of IT Services includes:
* Planning and development of IT strategy to ensure effective use of new technologies, including the implementation of new infrastructure and facilities.
* Provision of IT services and applications, including managed desktop computers, server and network infrastructure.
* Provision of support, training and information services to encourage the deployment and use of technology.
Key Responsibilities
The following non-exhaustive list of Key Deliverables are applicable to this Role:
* Be the first point of contact for users experiencing issues.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
* Communicate effectively with users to understand and address their IT-related problems.
* Manage users’ account permissions and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
* Work closely with the existing team to manage and prioritise assigned tickets.
Your Profile
The following Experience/Competencies/Skillsets are applicable to this Role:
* Previous relevant experience of at least one year.
* Good troubleshooting and resolution skills on MS Office, standard email packages, and MS operating systems such as Windows 10, 11.
* Experience of dealing with a diverse customer base.
* Detailed experience of operating systems to include Windows (10, 11) and Linux and/or Unix. Apple Mac experience essential.
* Good knowledge of Novell account management.
* Experience of the most popular mobile device operating systems to include Apple iOS and Google Android required.
* Detailed knowledge of MS Office and Internet browsers.
* Detailed knowledge of email clients e.g., Gmail, Outlook.
* Good knowledge of printing technologies.
* Excellent interpersonal skills in providing technical advice and assistance to staff at all levels and in liaising with external providers of IT systems and services.
* Excellent technical and diagnostic skills.
* Ability to work successfully within a multi-disciplinary IT group and to work on own initiative.
Candidates should hold appropriate RTWs for Ireland i.e. Stamp 1G, Stamp 4, Irish/British/EU passport.
