Dublin based practices
Currently Village Vets are looking for an experienced veterinary nurse to join our highly skilled team in our Dublin practice in Tallaght. You’ll be working alongside experienced nurses, (many of whom have already completed their certificate or masters qualifications), using state of the art diagnostic and monitoring equipment, as part of a friendly and supportive team.
The Veterinary Nurse at Village Vets is a vital and respected part of our team. Here you will play a pivotal role in providing top-quality care to our animal patients and ensuring excellent service to our clients.
Career Progression
For experienced nurses we offer the opportunity for career progression to one of our specialty nurse positions in orthopaedics, dentistry, dermatology, cardiology, feline, exotics, hospital and head nurse positions.
Duties:
* Assist the veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse in their day to day duties.
* Assist the nurse & care for patients and inpatients in our care to the standard upheld by Village Vets.
* Undertake general cleaning duties throughout the clinic including equipment, animal quarters to a level acceptable to the Village Vets standards.
* Run routine lab work under the direction of the veterinary nurse.
* Assist with front of house duties & understand procedures involved in maintaining an efficient friendly reception.
* Promote the Pet Health Plans and Pet Insurance to all clients to facilitate the highest level of veterinary care.
* Carry out any ad hoc Veterinary or administrative duties that may arise through the normal course of the day within the clinic or as advised by head nurse/area manager.
* Complete all tasks, duties and procedures efficiently and accurately.
* Be responsible for creating and maintaining an outstanding client experience throughout the whole team.
