Project Manager (Major Adaptations)
Work with Northern Ireland's largest social landlord on an ongoing temporary contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Senior Project Manager in delivering the Major Adaptations Programme, coordinating on-site work to meet Occupational Therapists' recommendations.
* Develop and manage Major Adaptations in accordance with NIHE standards, policies, and procedures.
* Carry out whole house surveys, including drainage and site levels, to facilitate construction of Major Adaptations to Occupational Therapist specifications.
* Lead project management of major adaptations' construction within agreed timeframes, quality, and budget targets with minimal supervision.
* Brief consultants and contractors, negotiate appointments, and ensure Major Adaptations are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements:
* Degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in a Building/Construction related discipline plus 1 year's relevant experience, or;
* BTEC Higher or equivalent Level 5 qualification in a Building/Construction related discipline plus 2 years' relevant experience, or;
* Equivalent continuing professional development/experiential learning and at least 3 years' relevant experience.
Desirable Skills:
* Development of Major Adaptations in line with Occupational Therapists' recommendations.
* Providing detailed plans for relevant statutory applications.
* Experience using Auto Cad or other drawing packages.
* Effectively controlling expenditure and managing projects within budget.
* Understanding of NEC 3 or NEC 4 Suite of Contract and their application in project management.
