To provide professional / clinical leadership in the designated area(s) of responsibility with first call to labour ward.
To oversee the management of resources including staffing and staff development. To facilitate communication across the healthcare teams.
The post of CMM 3 has a pivotal role in service planning and development, co-ordinating and managing activity and resources within the clinical area.
The CMM 3’s responsibilities include:
1. Risk management
2. Overseeing the quality of nursing and midwifery care
3. The development and implementation of policy and procedures
4. The monitoring of activity and the delivery of agreed levels of service for the designated area(s)
5. Providing clinical and professional leadership
6. Promoting the values of the organisation
7. Efficient and effective budgetary management of services
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Maternity & Neonatal Services, including Delivery Suites, Antenatal/postnatal and Neonatal Unit, Fetal Assessment including early pregnancy assessment, Maternity & Gynaecology emergency assessment and outpatient services.
